CANOEING, WINDSURFING, DIVING, SNORKELING AND MANY MORE...
The Adriatic Sea in the area of Omiš offers numerous water activities, such as canoeing, boat and pontoon cruises, fishing, diving, snorkeling, jet ski, as well as windsurfing for beginners and advanced.
Boating, canoeing, fishing:
Almost every inch of the Riviera of Omiš is suitable for swimming, but some parts of the coast are practically inaccessible by car. The most wonderful coves of the Riviera are quite-well hidden and the only way to discover them is from the open sea. Renting a boat or a kayak for a day will enable you to explore the coastline in more detail, and to take a swim wherever you like. The ride gives you absolute freedom – you can spend the morning sunbathing in a secluded cove somewhere, be swimming in the deep big blue halfway between Omiš and Brač around noon, and drop anchor by the terrace of one of beachfront restaurants along Riviera in the evening. Or casting a hook instead and catching your dinner yourself while peacefully sailing the open sea. Feel free to ask us about renting a boat or kayak – Villa Bugenvilla staff will help you find the perfect option for you.
Water sports:
Jet ski rides are available at several locations around Villa Bugenvilla, for example on the Ivašnjak beach. There you will also find activities such as banana and the aquarocket rides, providing a lot of unforgettable fun and adrenaline.
Windsurfing:
It is one of the most addicting and fun activities you can experience in Omiš. „If you don`t like windsurfing, means you didn`t try it yet” is a known saying by the locals, and absolutely a true one. Doesn`t matter if you are a kid or an adult, beginner or professional, windsurfing is an activity that has something to offer for everyone. If you are looking for an easy cruise through the waves, the couple of windsurfing schools in town have got you covered.
If you are an adrenaline-junkie-seeking some extreme excitement on your holidays – don`t worry. Thanks to stable and regular thermal winds, that are always blowing at certain locations in area of Villa Bugenvilla and Omiš (for example Ribnjak and Lokva Rogoznica) – every day is a good day for extreme surfing.
The Villa Bugenvilla staff cooperates with one of the best windsurfing schools in the area, where our children learn this sport. Trainings are conducted in several languages - English, German, Croatian or Polish. Contact us and we will guide you there and arrange a meeting with the windsurfing team!
Scuba diving:
Omiš and the rest of its Riviera boasts some of the most amazing beaches and coves in Dalmatia, and the possibilities it offers for scuba diving and explore the underwater world are among the best on the Adriatic. Omiš simply has it all – from shallow underwater plains accessible to all, to deep and hidden walls and cliffs, to be explored only by the most experienced divers.
At the depth of only 3 meters, not far from the main Omiš beach, you can find a sunken wreck of a World War II ship! More experienced divers will no doubt be amazed by the cove of Vruja, which represents one of the best scuba diving sites in Croatia. This is a location of a large freshwater source, and is, due to the mixing of fresh and sea water, exceptionally rich in fish and as such one of the most popular dive-in locations in Croatia among spear fishermen. At the location of Vruja dives are possible to the depth of over 100 meters! According to a local legend, at the very bottom of the Vruja, right next to the great freshwater source, you will find an ancient sunken city, full of treasures and secrets just waiting to be discovered!
